Wade Murray snapped out of his shock.
Susie Murray was his aunt's daughter.
Her father, Wade's uncle, was a fierce-looking man who could kill a chicken with ease.
"Susie Murray, let's go upstairs first," Wade ran to Susie's side.
He was afraid that his uncle would chop off the heads of the remaining two chickens.
He couldn't bear to watch such a bloody and violent scene, especially with his delicate little sister.
Meanwhile, Susie was looking towards the other side, where a pale-faced maid was standing behind a tree.
The maid dropped her flower basket, and the flowers scattered on the ground.
"Wait a minute!" she said.
The little girl ran over to the tree and effortlessly pulled out the kitchen knife.
Then, she looked up at the maid and asked, "Auntie, are you okay?"
The maid lowered her head and saw the little girl with a cute and innocent face, big black eyes, and a bloody kitchen knife in her hand.
"Ah..." she seemed frightened and kept retreating. "Don't chop off my head!"
Susie was stunned and hid the kitchen knife behind her back.
She didn't mean to scare the maid, did she?
The maid must have been frightened, Susie thought.
She looked at the maid again, feeling that something was not right.
"Auntie, is your neck okay?"
When the maid was retreating, she had twisted her face to the side as if she wanted to run away, but her hands and feet were not coordinated, and her head went left while her body went back, which made it look like her head had been twisted.
Kellen Morton appeared at some point and took the knife from Susie's hand carefully.
He turned the knife around and stared at the maid.
"What's your name?"
Kellen Morton has an imposing aura, with slightly cold eyes when staring at someone, coupled with the knife in his hand... an invisible killing intent leaked out.
The maid seemed frightened and stuttered, "I... I..."
Kellen Morton frowned.
Alana Murray controlled her wheelchair to come over and asked, "Sylvia, what are you doing here?"
It turns out that the maid's name is Sylvia, a gardener and florist who takes care of the Murray Family estate.
The Murray Family's estate is very large, with many flowers planted. In April, when the flowers are in bloom, there are dedicated people who cut the flowers and arrange them in vases to be placed in various rooms of the Murray Family.
It took Sylvia a while to calm down, and she said with lowered eyes, "I'm cutting flowers..."
Alana Murray didn't think much of it. After all, anyone would be scared by such a large kitchen knife flying towards them.
"Go back to work!" she said.
Sylvia nodded, picked up the fallen flowers in a panic, and ran away with floating steps.
Alana Murray wondered, "What's wrong with Sylvia today, she's so strange."
Kellen Morton's eyes were ambiguous, and he just echoed, "Maybe she got scared."
Alana Murray glanced at him and said, "Ha! How dare you say that? Accidents happen, what if you accidentally hurt Susie Murray?"
Kellen Morton touched his nose. He didn't expect to be scolded by someone now.
The knife and gun in his hand... actually had a keen eye.
Alana Murray pulled Susie Murray over and said, "Good girl, go upstairs with your brother."
Susie Murray nodded and reminded Kellen Morton, "Daddy, be careful! Be gentle when you slaughter the chicken... "
Kellen Morton reached out to pat her little head, but then he realized that he had just used one hand to catch a chicken and the other to hold a knife...so he decided against it.
"Go upstairs!" he said. "Don't worry, Daddy can cook."
Susie Murray nodded trustingly and followed Wade Murray upstairs.
Alana Murray didn't know what to do, so she told Ada to prepare other dishes because she was afraid they wouldn't have anything to eat for lunch later.
The kitchen was quite large, with Ada cooking other dishes on the other side and Kellen Morton making the dishes chosen by Alana Murray.
He continued to kill the chicken and, as expected, chopped off its head and hung it upside down to bleed.
He violently plucked its feathers, and its skin peeled off in large chunks, a gruesome sight...
It was now time to make the legendary difficult dish, eggplant. Kellen Morton picked up the eggplant and looked at it, but couldn't see what was so difficult about it.
He cut it in half with one stroke.
...
Upstairs.
Alex squatted by the window, half asleep with his eyes closed.
Even the parrot needed a nap. Its beak was resting on its wing, half-closed eyes occasionally nodding off.
Wade Murray carefully glanced at the window and then moved his footsteps, holding a mirror in his hand and reaching out.
Alex opened his eyes strangely and moved to the side.
Wade Murray made sure there were no ghosts outside the window, on either side of the wall, or above, before finally sticking his head out.
"It's strange, where could it have fallen to?" he stretched his neck to look and then took out a notebook to calculate the parabolic curve.
He drew the position of the house, the distance to the flower bed, and the trajectory of the parabolic curve.
"It's right there, we just didn't look in the right place."
Susie Murray leaned close to Alex, resting her chin on her hand and scratching Alex's head.
She didn't seem to be too concerned about where the female ghost had gone.
Wade Murray was puzzled. "Susie Murray, aren't you worried?"
Susie Murray shook her head and said, "No rush! There are many ghosts in this world, and the one we're looking for will appear someday."
Wade Murray was skeptical and asked, "Will it?"
What if it runs away?
Wade Murray remembered that Susie Murray had said that they needed to fill the soul gourd, or else she might be forced to leave. So even if he was afraid, he couldn't let the female ghost get away.
Susie Murray nodded confidently and said, "It will! Maybe she will come out by herself when we sleep at night."
Wade Murray said nothing. The more he couldn't find the ghost, the more he worried and couldn't sleep peacefully. He couldn't help but shudder when he thought of the female ghost opening her bloody mouth just now.
So Wade Murray immediately wrote and drew on paper, and picked up the video camera. He wanted to make a ghost alert device!
"Huh? The video camera is on?" Wade Murray clicked the stop recording button and casually opened the recorded video.
"I don't remember when I turned it on." He said, "I have to clear the memory..."
He hadn't finished his sentence yet.
He saw a headless female ghost floating and appearing in the video, first showing a shoulder, then holding her head, and then her pair of dark green feet...
And in the video, he was banging on an iron basin.
Wade Murray was so scared that he almost threw the video camera away!
Susie Murray asked in a hurry, "What's wrong, big brother?"
Wade Murray calmly replied, "It's nothing! It's nothing..."
After calming down for a moment, he suddenly became excited, those people online didn't believe him, did they?
He wanted to upload this video and scare them to death!
Wade Murray acted immediately and uploaded the video, coolly adding a caption,
"[Hmph, foolish humans, you know nothing about this world.]"
...
After the video was uploaded, several viewers soon arrived.
"[Haha, five cents special effects, trash!]"
"[There are no ghosts in the world, you should believe in science, you little brat. Instead of messing around with all this nonsense all day, you should study hard. I bet after you graduate, you won't even be able to compete with garbage collectors.]"
"[It's always the same! If you really saw a ghost, couldn't your family afford a high-definition camera? Whenever there's some supernatural event, the footage is always black and white and blurry. I've seen through your tricks.]"
"[If you have the ability, upload a high-definition video. If you don't, then stop pretending!]"
It was still mocking laughter.
Wade Murray felt extremely frustrated...
