Chapter 123 Father-Daughter Ice Cream Outing and Unexpected Encounters

The next day.

Under the close watch of Alana Murray, Kellen Morton took Susie Murray to fled.

Destination: the central shopping mall.

There is always an ice cream truck stationed outside the central shopping mall's square.

"I've been eating ice cream for ten years." Kellen Morton drove the SUV and said, "The best ice cream in the whole city."

Susie Murray couldn't wait, "Ice cream! Ice cream~ Susie Murray's favourite ice cream!"

The SUV whizzed past the kindergarten bus.

Lucy Murray, sitting by the car window, immediately looked over with resentment in her eyes--

She just heard Susie Murray's voice!

She said "ice cream, ice cream"!

Whoo whoo, she also wants a dad who will take her to sneak out to eat ice cream!

Lucy Murray expressed, "Can't bear to see her little sister so happy, hope she can go to school as soon as possible~!"

The square outside the central mall is relatively empty on Monday.

Kellen Morton got Susie Murray a small "extra-large ice cream" with tasty nuts sprinkled on top and a layer of sweet yet not greasy blueberry jam.

The soft ice cream, paired with the not-too-sweet jam, melted in their mouths, making them feel joyful.

"So good!" Susie Murray's eyes were shining with happiness, as if the entire galaxy was reflected in them.

Father and daughter sat casually by the flowerbed.

Kellen Morton is tall. He stretched out his legs, crossing his left foot over his right, still dressed in all black, looking like a toppled streetlight from afar.

Susie Murray sat on the edge of the flowerbed with her legs crossed, her two little chubby legs looking like kneaded dough.

The people around couldn't help but be charmed by this father-daughter duo, turning their heads frequently. One young lady even bumped into the glass door of the shopping mall.

Susie Murray licked the ice cream off the corner of her mouth, shaking her head and saying, "Tsk tsk, Daddy, are you trying to attract bees and butterflies?"

She tilted her head playfully.

Kellen Morton poked her forehead with his finger, "How do you know she's not looking at you?"

Susie Murray exclaimed, "Oh, It seems to be!"

Kellen Morton laugh out loudly. This little one is always entertaining.

He looked up and saw the familiar flowerbed and shopping mall.

But now he had a lovely little bundle by his side to enjoy ice cream with.

The road ahead seemed less dull and difficult.

At this moment, Susie Murray exclaimed and pointed to a nearby coffee shop.

"It's Aunt Susan!" she said.

Kellen Morton followed her gaze and saw a woman sitting at a table on the ground floor of the cafe. She had opened her laptop and was working while enjoying the sun and sipping on her coffee.

"Who is she?" he asked.

Susie Murray took Kellen Morton's hand and led him over, saying, "She's the auntie we went ghost hunting with before!"

Ghost hunting?

Kellen Morton raised an eyebrow slightly as he let Susie Murray lead him into the cafe.

As they entered, the wind chime at the door rang loudly and he quickly lowered his head.

The staff stared at them.

Susie Murray quickly said, "I'm sorry! My dad is too tall, did he break the wind chime? I'll pay for it if he did."

She rummaged through her small bag and took out a red envelope after finishing her sentence.

These are various red envelopes she received on her birthday.

The ones from her uncles and grandparents were the thickest, and the red envelopes unfolded to be a meter long.

The others were from guests who came to celebrate, and now Susie Murray always brings these smaller ones with her when she goes out...

Little Susie Murray held the red envelope with a painful expression on her face.

Seeing Little Susie Murray really took out a red envelope and handed it to himself, the staff member quickly said, "Uh, no need, it's not broken..."

Little Susie Murray immediately stuffed the red envelope into her bag and said quickly, "Okay!"

The staff member, "...?"

Little cutie, can you hold on for one more second?

Susie Murray ran over to Susan and greeted her, "Hi~ Aunt Xin, we meet again!"

Susan looked carefully, surprised, and delighted, "It's Susie Murray! How come you're here?"

Susie Murray pointed to Kellen Morton behind her and said, "My dad and I came to eat ice cream!"

Susan quickly stood up and greeted them, "Hello, hello."

Kellen Morton nodded lazily and replied with a casual "hello."

Susie Murray peeked around and asked, "Aunt Xin, are you working?"

Susan had a smile on her face, confident and radiant, as if she was glowing.

She picked up Susie Murray and sat her next to her, pointing at her computer and said, "I'm writing a novel."

Susie Murray said, "Oh -- does that mean you're writing a storybook?"

Susan laughed and said, "Yes."

Susie Murray understood and pointed to the words on the screen, and read aloud, "Calabash Brothers: Once upon a time, there were seven Calabash Brothers and a grandpa…..."

Susan was taken aback and almost laughed to death, "What's going on? This is a live broadcast of the doting wife, where the empire's CEO is tearfully begging for a hug."

Susie Murray was confused, "Who is crying for a hug?"

Susan replied, "The CEO."

Susie Murray asked, "Who is the CEO?"

Susan hesitated, then her eyes lit up, "It's like your uncle, super powerful, super rich, and very handsome."

Susie Murray was even more puzzled, "Then why would such a powerful uncle be crying for a hug?"

Susan stuttered.

How could she explain this cheesy romance to the little one?

Just as she was struggling, a man rushed in angrily from outside and slapped a stack of documents on the coffee table with a bang!

Susie Murray looked up and saw a slightly tanned uncle standing in front of her, glaring at Susan.

"Who is she? And who is he?" The man pointed at Susie Murray and Kellen Morton.

Kellen Morton flicked his finger, and the coffee shop's name card in the card slot flew out, slapping the man's finger aside.

The man winced in pain and grabbed his finger. "You!"

Kellen Morton raised his gaze and his eyes turned cold, his intimidating aura radiating out.

"Watch your mouth," Kellen Morton said, "I have a bad temper and don't like people pointing at me and my daughter."

The man was shocked and couldn't speak.

He could only turn his head and vent his anger on Susan. "You tell me, who are they?"

Susan frowned, quickly apologized to Kellen Morton, and brought Susie Murray over to stand next to him.

"I'm sorry, I have some family matters to attend to."

Kellen Morton looked at Susie Murray, who didn't want to leave, crossed his legs, leaned lazily against the back of the sofa, and snorted.

Susan pulled the man aside and angrily asked, "Are you done causing trouble? This is my friend!"

The man was none other than Susan's husband.

Susan's husband sneered, "Friend? I think you're a cheating husband. I knew there was something different about you lately. So, you've found a good replacement already! Do you have any shame?"

Susan was furious.

"Watch your mouth!" she retorted coldly. She didn't even bother to entertain him and turned to leave.

Unexpectedly, her husband blocked her path and asked, "Wait a minute, did you sell the house?!"

Susan remained expressionless. "It's my own house. It's my freedom to sell it or not. What's it to you?"

Her husband seemed to be infuriated and spoke harshly, "Why isn't it my business? The house is mine too!"

Arms crossed, Susan's queen-like gaze was cold and contemptuous. "Yours? Do you have any proof? Did you contribute to the down payment or the mortgage payments? Or do you shoulder the household expenses?"

"You!" Susan's husband was almost spitting blood.

Meanwhile, on the sofa, Kellen Morton and Susie Murray had finished their ice cream and were eating watermelon together. Kellen Morton removes the watermelon seeds and pass to Susie Murray.

One was big, and one was small, as they watched Susan and her husband argue while simultaneously nibbling on watermelon.

Kellen Morton said, "Tsk, tsk."

Susie Murray followed, "Tsk, tsk, tsk!"

The heartless father and daughter watched the drama while munching on watermelon.

Cute man, "I'm just wrapping up a small plot hole from before. It's not meant to imply any relationship between Father Morton!"
