Chapter 280 Family Mischief and Punishment: Susie and Her Uncles' Rooftop Adventure

Mrs. Alana climbed up to the rooftop and looked at Susie.

The bamboo basket was quite large, and Susie lay flat inside it with one side covering her little head and the other resting on her small belly.

When the little one turned over and curled up her legs, she fit perfectly into the bamboo basket.

Mrs. Alana carefully opened the bamboo basket and touched her forehead with concern, making sure she wasn't running a fever before feeling relieved.

At that moment, Martin woke up and sat up, pressing his aching forehead, and saying, "Mom?"

He looked around and realized Clara was gone. After daybreak, Clara had returned to the spirit world.

Michael woke up with a start and looked around frantically. "Mom's here? Let's go!"

Mrs. Alana smacked him on the head with a beam of maternal love, and Uncle Michael immediately hugged his head.

The others were also awakened and, seeing Mrs. Alana standing in front of them with an imposing air, were initially stunned.

Then they quickly said, "Mom, how did you get up here?"

Was it reasonable for an old woman to climb so high?

Mrs. Alana laughed angrily and said, "How dare you ask that? Susie is only a few years old, and you dare take her to the rooftop!"

Susie was awakened by Mrs. Alana's voice but was still not completely awake.

It was only a little past six in the morning, and she usually slept at this time, so she was still groggy.

The little one stretched out her hand and called out, "Cheers!"

"Uncle Martin, Susie wants another glass of wine!" she said, then looked at Mrs. Alana in confusion.

"Oh, Grandma Chloe is here too?"

Panko snuggled up to Mrs. Alana and muttered softly before falling asleep. Mrs. Alana lowered her head, her expression unclear, but she seemed to be brewing a big move.

"Uncles were speechless.

"Mission accomplished!"

"Shucks!"

Michael tiptoed out, holding his slippers and was the first to flee.

Uncle Martin remained composed, stood up, and followed suit as if nothing had happened.

Mrs. Alana said coldly, "Stop right there, all of you!"

The uncles replied, remained silent.

Ten minutes later, Susie was carried back to her room and lay on her comfortable bed.

Several uncles stood at the door with their heads down.

Mrs. Alana came out and closed the door, standing with her hands behind her back, looking at these troublesome big boys.

"Who led this?" she asked.

All the brothers looked at Martin.

As the eldest, he took the blame and coughed before speaking, his deep voice sounding, "Mom, let me explain..."

Mrs. Alana glared at him and said, "I don't want to listen!"

Martin was at a loss for words. Women of all ages can be unreasonable.

In the end, the uncles were punished with a thousand push-ups at the door.

When Susie woke up, she saw Uncle Michael and the others lying like dead fish on the lawn outside the door, which shocked her.

She grabbed the balcony railing, waved, and greeted them from the second floor, "Uncle Martin, Uncle David, Uncle Jonathan, Uncle Michael, Uncle Ryan~ what are you doing?"

Theoretically, they were supposed to do 500 push-ups for an hour, but the uncles did them on and off for two hours.

They were scarred for life by this exercise.

When Susie greeted them, they didn't even have the strength to lift their arms.

Alex stood on the balcony railing, shaking his head, and counting, "998, 999, 800! 801, 802..."

The uncle martin remained silent.

Susie put on her shoes and ran down to where her uncles were. Martin reluctantly smiled and asked Susie why she woke up so early.

Susie looked at the sky and said it wasn't early since the sun was already up, and asked if they were exercising.

Jonathan looked at the sky and said they were doing high-intensity fat-burning exercises, and Michael said his six-pack abs had become even more solid.

Ryan joked that he might not be able to move for several days.

Susie got excited when she heard her uncles had exercised and wanted to join in.

She asked Martin, David, Jonathan, Michael, and Ryan to exercise with her and started doing the bunny dance she learned at kindergarten.

When she saw her uncles were still lying down, she gave them commands to stand up and exercise.

Kellen came back from outside, carrying Panko in his arms, and asked if they had eaten.

Susie told him they were exercising first before eating.

Kellen chuckled and said they should eat first, and they all went to have breakfast.

During the meal, the uncles' hands were shaking while holding their chopsticks.

Michael was really hungry and ate quickly, making his chopsticks clatter against his bowl.

Susie was amazed and asked if he was okay.

Michael said he was fine, despite the clattering sound.

Susie looked sympathetic and said, "Uncle Michael is so young, but he's already suffering from an old man's disease."

She had only seen a few elderly people before, and some of them had trembling hands like Uncle Michael.

Susie picked up a chopstick of braised eggplant and said, "Uncle Michael, let me feed you. Don't worry, Susie will take good care of you!"

Michael was deeply touched.

He took a bite of the dish that Susie fed him and felt it was especially delicious.

He proudly glanced at his brothers, as if to say, "I am the winner of life."

Then Susie continued to chatter, "Uncle Michael, will you be lying in bed unable to move in the future?"

Michael wanted to tease her and asked, "Hmm, if that's the case, will Susie still take care of Uncle Michael?"

Susie blinked in confusion and asked, "Uncle Michael, will you drool and wear diapers like the old grandpa from the Chen family?"

Jonathan smirked and said, "He will."

Susie comforted Michael by patting his head and said, "Uncle Michael, don't worry, Susie will take care of your needs, even if it means changing your diapers and cleaning up after you. Susie will make sure you grow up... I mean, grow old."

Michael choked on the eggplant in his mouth and suddenly felt that it wasn't so delicious anymore. How did they end up talking about this?!
