Chapter 388 Supernatural Confrontation: The Haunted House Bride Mystery

Kellen crouched above the cellar, observing the man below him. The man appeared to be in his forties with a shiny face, nothing particularly striking about him, yet he was the big boss somehow.

"Did you arrange for the bride in the haunted house?" Kellen asked.

The bald man hesitated for a moment and quickly looked up. "You're with that little girl!?" he exclaimed.

Before he could say more, there was a gunshot and a rubber bullet whizzed past his face.

Kellen looked up in surprise. "What are you doing?" he asked.

His subordinate held a large weapon and had a solemn expression on his face. "Reporting to the boss! The boss said if he moves, I should shoot him!" he said.

Kellen was speechless. Was this even a human conversation?

Furious, the bald man choked out, "I was answering his question!"

The wooden-headed subordinate replied, "That's not my problem. I only carry out the boss's orders!"

Besides, why bother looking up while speaking? With such a big action, who else would they shoot if not him?

Kellen silently gave a thumbs up. "Well done," he said.

The bald man was at a loss for words, too scared to move. He stiffly answered Kellen's question, "I arranged for the female ghost in the haunted house..."

Kellen squinted his eyes. He arranged for her?

And the female ghost was captured by Susie, with this man's sinister character and boldness, that bride ghost...

Kellen's face turned cold as he asked, "That female ghost is from ancient times, separated from the present by hundreds of years. How did you control her?"

The bald man dared not act recklessly. No matter how powerful the paper person was, it was no match for the dozen, or so real weapons held above his head.

His eyes flickered slightly as he said, "I brought her back unintentionally during one of my trips outside."

"That bride ghost was originally suppressed in an abandoned ancient temple in a wilderness... It was easy for me to capture her."

Kellen frowned, not having thought of that yet. Suddenly, there was another gunshot, "Piu!"

"Reporting to the boss! He moved again! Not only his neck, but also his eyelids!" the subordinate said.

Kellen thought to himself, you really are a clumsy one.

The bald man was motionless, too scared to lift his head, and begged tearfully, "Can you tell your subordinate that moving a little bit is not considered moving...?"

Kellen turned his wrist and said calmly, "It depends on whether your answer satisfies me. My daughter went to the haunted house today, and her uncle accompanied her."

"You not only frightened my daughter but also put a piece of skin on her uncle's neck, right?"

The bald man, still looking down, was shocked. They found out about that too?

It couldn't be possible. That paper person was the second one he had raised with his hard work. He was already in his twenties, and it took him more than twenty years to raise these two-paper people!

How could they have found out...?

The bald man was completely at a loss and a little panicked, "It was me who posted it..."

Kellen asked, "You placed a female ghost in the haunted house and posted the skin of my third cousin. What were you trying to do?"

But this time, the bald man refused to speak.

He already knew that Kellen's ultimate goal was to get this out of him. Since that was the case, he also had room to negotiate.

Furthermore, he still had a ghost bride who he had spent a lot of effort in taming, and he would never betray him easily!

Let him speak, but...

The bald man was quickly thinking of countermeasures when he heard Kellen say coldly, "Treat him well."

His lackey responded loudly, "Yes! I promise to entertain him well!"

Kellen left like that.

The bald man was stunned, that's it?!

But what greeted him was another peanut, which hit his shoulder and pierced through the skin underneath.

The bald man cried out in pain and dared not move. He stiffened his neck and felt even more uncomfortable than under torture!

**

It was midnight.

Susie lay on her side in bed, holding a thin quilt that had been crumpled into a ball. Her slightly chubby legs were resting on top of the quilt.

Soul Calabash on her wrist glimmered with a faint light.

Inside Soul Calabash, the ghost bride was holding her own broken limbs and suddenly threw out a Jackpot tile, "Bingo! Haha, I won!"

She excitedly pushed down her tiles, completely forgetting about her bald master...
