When Susie was almost finished with her breakfast, Michael and David had just gotten up.
Michael had been on duty as a supervisor at the construction site last night, and had just come back from checking on it.
David, on the other hand, had been at the hospital looking after Zion and had only just returned not too long ago. He was now taking a shower downstairs.
Ryan, due to having an emergency last night, had also woken up relatively late.
Five out of the eight brothers were now present.
"Aren't you going to work, Uncle Martin?" Susie asked.
Martin was sitting on the couch dealing with some business matters, his legs crossed, and he looked cold and stern in his black suit.
"I'm going on a business trip later," Martin said. "So, I'm not going to the company this morning."
Susie tilted her head, and Alex on her head also followed suit. The two little cuties looked curiously at Martin.
"Where are you going on your business trip, Uncle Martin? Will you be back tonight?" Susie asked.
Martin closed his tablet and walked over to Susie, picking her up and placing her on his lap. His cold voice carried a hint of warmth as he said, "Not that soon, it will be about half a month."
Susie was surprised. "Going for so long! What are you going to do there?"
Martin smiled wryly. "This is... company secret."
He didn't want to tell Susie about the contract negotiations for buying an island and the design of the subsequent amusement park. He planned to give the island to her as a birthday gift when she turned five.
Susie immediately covered her mouth and nodded seriously. "I understand, then Susie won't ask!"
Oh, it was a secret, very serious.
Alex shook his head along with her. "We won't ask, won't ask!"
Martin was amused by these two little ones.
Mrs. Alana was nagging on the side. "It's already so late, your sister hasn't even woken up yet. She's going back to school in a few days, I wonder how she's going to manage."
"Susie, can you go wake up your sister? The product manager from D&r will be coming over later with some clothes for you to pick out and prepare to wear for school."
Susie slipped out of Martin's arms and ran upstairs while saying, "Okay!"
In Lucy's room, she was sleeping soundly with her head on a pillow, one foot hanging off the bed touching the floor, and the other foot crossed over the blanket.
Alex blinked his small green eyes and learned a popular line from a short video, "What kind of style is this, so chic and very 6+7!"
Susie nudged Lucy and exclaimed, "Lucy sister, how are you sleeping like that? You're almost falling onto the floor!"
Lucy rubbed her eyes sleepily and the impatience she felt about getting up vanished in an instant when she saw Susie. "Ah...I really need to pee. I was looking for a bathroom in my dream and then I woke up," she muttered.
After getting up, she remembered that she needed to pee, but then she forgot again as soon as she got out of bed. She sat up suddenly and exclaimed, "I'm going to pee! I can't hold it!" She covered her butt and ran to the bathroom.
Susie was surprised and asked, "Why are you covering your butt if you need to pee urgently?"
Alex tilted his head and quipped, "Otherwise, cover your mouth?"
After waking up Lucy and calling for Susie, Kellen shouted from downstairs, "Susie!"
Susie's eyes lit up and she replied, "Dad, I'm coming!" She ran down the stairs and jumped just two steps before Kellen caught her.
Susie laughed happily and asked, "Dad, can you catch me if I jump from the second-floor next time?"
"Of course, I can. I can catch you even if you jump from the tenth floor," Kellen replied.
Mrs. Alana coughed, and Kellen quickly changed his tone and said, "But that's very dangerous. We must never do that."
Susie said, "Okay!"
Kellen told Susie about the bald man they caught and explained that he was the one who made the sticker skins for Paul and put the ghost bride in the haunted house, but they still didn't know his motive. As for how the ghost bride followed him, they could ask her later.
Kellen asked, "Has your master come back yet?"
Susie shook her head and said, "When my master left, he said he would be gone for a while, but we could call him if there was an emergency."
"Call him?" Kellen asked.
Susie leaned in close to Kellen and whispered, "Burn the talisman my master gives him, and he'll know!"
Taoist Morton said that this "calling" method was very advanced and he wanted to learn it.
By the time Lucy finished her breakfast, it was already around ten o'clock. The security guard came to report that D&r's product manager had arrived, and Mrs. Alana nodded to let her in.
Martin looked at the time and said he had to leave. "Susie, Uncle Martin is leaving. Be good and listen to Grandma Chloe when school starts in a few days," he reminded her.
He would be gone for half a month.
Half a month later, Martin felt a sense of reluctance for the first time in his heart when he wouldn't be able to see Susie at her home. Wade didn't even lift his head and said, "Dad, you better go now! My brother and I have never seen you like this before."
Hamza responded coldly, "Susie, remember to get the reimbursement."
Martin remained silent.
So, it's still the daughter's talisman!
Susie reached out her hand and said, "Uncle, can I have a hug?"
Martin bent down and Susie kissed him on the face, like a little adult, reminding him, "Be safe, eat on time, sleep at ten o'clock, and don't run around with strangers!"
Everyone couldn't help but laugh and cry at her words.
Martin couldn't help but kiss Susie on the forehead and said, "Okay."
He picked up his briefcase, adjusted his tie, and turned to leave.
As D&r's product manager dragged two large suitcases into the house, she happened to see Martin leaving.
He still had a hint of doting tenderness on his face, forming a strong contrast with his cold and aloof demeanor.
At a glance, D&r's product manager was stunned!
This was the head of the Murray family, the boss of the Murray Group, Martin!
She only occasionally saw him in financial news, but she never expected him to be so handsome in person...
The product manager was mesmerized and stunned for a moment.
Martin glanced at her coldly and walked past her.
Susie's sweet voice came from behind, "Goodbye, Uncle!"
Martin turned around, waved his hand, and got in the car.
D&r's product manager finally regained her senses and regretted it deeply!
She had just missed such a good opportunity to get close to Mr. Murray.
She was so distracted that she didn't even think of sticking the talisman.
She missed this chance, and who knows when she would have another opportunity to meet him at such a close distance...
D&r's product manager regretted it and looked towards Susie at the door, forcing a smile and saying, "Hello, Miss Su? I am D&r's product manager, Marilyn Kamily. It's my pleasure to serve you."
Susie evaluated Marilyn Kamily and thought, "What a weird name! It doesn't sound like an American name. Does her name really have rice grains in it? Is it stuck in her nose?"
Alex added, "It's stuck in her nose! Be careful of her booger attack!"
Marilyn Kamily's face stiffened. remained silent.
This little girl from the Murray family is so impolite!
Rumor has it that she was brought back from the countryside, and it seems to be true- she doesn't even know basic things like foreign names such as Kamily.
The temperament of a wealthy young lady is innate, and it's clear that this little girl from Murray doesn't have it...
