Chapter 451 Wolfdog’s Recovery and the Haunting Mystery: A Family’s Supernatural Ordeal

The wolfdog was doing better than a few days ago, thanks to Susie's prescription.

When Mrs. Alana called it for dinner, it reluctantly moved over, seeming to fear mealtime.

Eating was no longer a happy occasion for the dog, as its stomach had been burned by rat poison.

Mrs. Alana put the bowl down, scooped the dog up with her left hand, and held a spoon of food with her right hand, shoving it into the dog's mouth.

"Eat more. Susie prescribes medicine for you. You've been in good spirits these past few days," she said.

"If you don't eat, your stomach will hurt more. Eat well, and your stomach will be better in a few days," she continued.

"Susie weigh you, and with your build, finishing this bowl of food won't be a problem. You have to eat it all," she urged, feeding the dog a spoonful of food with each sentence.

Grandma Chloe fed the dog mouthful after mouthful.

The wolfdog was forced to swallow, and most of the bowl was finished before it could no longer eat.

"Full? No, you're not full!" Mrs. Alana persisted, prying the dog's mouth open and continuing to feed it.

The dog and Mr. Craig both remained silent, the latter finding the situation simultaneously amusing and speechless.

This old woman had too much time on her hands, but he didn't dare say so.

Mr. Craig stood up, stretched, and walked over to Mrs. Alana, who was working so hard. He picked up the bowl from the floor and helped her with it.

The two elderly people squatted at the door with enthusiasm, feeding the dog.

The wolfdog looked hopeless, but after consuming a bowl of medicinal meat and bone rice, its coat was shinier than a few days ago, and it seemed stronger.

"It's still too thin," Mrs. Alana shook her head. "Do you want a bit more?"

The wolfdog turned its head and looked at the watchman basking in the sun with squinted eyes.

The watchman turned his head and said, "Don't look at me. I can't eat anymore."

At that moment, the wolfdog’s two ears perked up, and its once docile expression suddenly turned ferocious. Its sharp eyes stared at the door.

Mrs. Alana turned her head to see nothing. "What are you looking at?" she asked curiously.

The wolfdog suddenly stood up, barking wildly, and even the usually obedient watchdogs at the gate took on an attacking stance.

"What's going on?" Mr. Craig asked in surprise.

The dogs barked fiercely towards the door, but there was no one there.

This eerie scene made Mrs. Alana nervous. She felt like someone, or something was going to appear in the next second.

"Let's go inside first!" Mr. Craig whispered. He called for Uncle Colt, and with the security guards, they checked the entire Murray family mansion, but found nothing unusual.

"Now it's broad daylight, there's nothing to worry about," Mr. Craig comforted her.

Mrs. Alana nodded, but her unease remained.

Although it was already midday, the weather had turned cold. Although the sun was shining outside, there was always a chill inside the house.

The wolfdog continued to bark outside. The Murray family mansion was large, and both dogs were kept outside and had not come in.

Mrs. Alana looked up and met a pair of eyes, causing her heart to skip a beat. She then snapped, "Melina, what are you doing crouching there?"

Melina stared down the corridor and let out a low growl as if warning something.

Mrs. Alana turned to look at the corridor, her scalp tingling.

The empty corridor held nothing...

No one had seen it, but at the end of the corridor stood a woman dressed in white, with straight hair and a pair of dead fish-like eyes staring at the old woman.

The woman stretched out her hand and floated towards Mrs. Alana...

Melina suddenly screamed and rushed forward, but it was too late.

The female ghost passed through Melina and her hands tightly gripped Mrs. Alana's neck...

Susie just woke up from her nap at kindergarten and saw Uncle Colt rushing to pick her up.

She wasn't fully awake and asked confusedly, "Huh? Uncle Colt is here to pick me up?"

Did she sleep until after school?

But Uncle Colt whispered, "Miss, hurry back... your Grandma Chloe suddenly fell ill!"

Susie immediately came to her senses and ran off without even putting on her shoes.

Uncle Colt picked up her shoes and chased after her, "Miss, wait!" Mitch floated beside her and comforted her, "Don't worry, the old woman won't go that quickly... be good and put on your shoes, it's cold outside!"

Susie climbed into the car and Uncle Colt couldn't help but be surprised. He couldn't catch up with a child running. He's old...

The car drove back to the Murray family, and Susie's little face was full of anxiety.

She suddenly realized the advantages of having her dad drive.

If her dad was driving, they would have been home by now!

She couldn't do anything about her hurry, so she counted her fingers anxiously.

Uncle Colt saw her playing with her fingers and frowned like a little adult, asking, "How did Grandma Chloe fall ill? Did anything strange happen at home today?"

Uncle Colt said, "At noon, the old woman was feeding the guard dogs at the main entrance of the mansion.

Suddenly, the dogs barked loudly.

The old man was worried that someone might have climbed over the wall and entered, so he asked us to check it out.

Everything was normal when we got back to the house, but the old woman collapsed."

Susie asked, "Did she collapse directly, or slowly?"

Uncle Colt thought for a moment and said, "She collapsed directly."

Susie furrowed her brows even more tightly.

At this moment, Mrs. Alana's forehead turned black, her lips turned purple, and she cursed at the air in front of her, looking like a lunatic.

Suddenly, she opened her mouth and bit her tongue hard, causing blood to spray out.

Everyone was shocked and rushed to pry open her mouth.

The family doctor was sweating, saying, "This symptom looks like epilepsy, we can't let her bite her tongue!"

But the old woman clenched her teeth tightly, even making a creaking sound.

Mr. Craig was terrified - she might even bite her tongue off!

He made up his mind and forcefully pinched Mrs. Alana's cheeks, trying to pry her mouth open and let her bite his hand instead.

However, for some reason, even the family doctor's professional technique couldn't open her mouth.

They watched as the old woman was about to bite her own tongue off.

Suddenly, a small figure rushed over and slapped her face, shouting, "Grandma Chloe, wake up!"

Mrs. Alana was dazed.

She first saw a female ghost suddenly appear in front of her, sticking out her tongue and bleeding from her seven orifices, trying to strangle her.

She naturally wouldn't yield and fought with the female ghost.

Then she bit the female ghost's hand, wanting to tear it off... But just then, a small slap came, and she was stunned.

Suddenly everything was clear, and there was no female ghost in front of her, only a group of anxious people trying to pry open her mouth.

Ada said, "Old woman, please open your mouth!"

The old man said, "Old hag, why are you biting yourself? If you want to bite, bite me!"

Susie said, "Grandma Chloe, wake up!"

Mrs. Alana couldn't help but open her mouth. Before she could feel the pain in her tongue, Mr. Craig's dirty paw had already been inserted. "?"

Mr. Craig looked heartbroken and whispered, "Be good, don't bite! If you want to bite me, I have tough skin and thick flesh."
